Our History
Industrias emu begins its activities in Medellín, focusing on the manufacture of chemical products for industry and the agro-industrial sector. Its first product was trisodium phosphate.
The company incorporates zinc sulfate into its production line, a product that has identified the organization in the market over the years.
Industrias emu is expanding its product range by producing ferrous sulfate and sodium nitrate.
disodium phosphate is added to the production.
The company moves to a new plant in Itagüí, Antioquia, complementing its line of zinc derivatives with the manufacture of gold seal and white seal zinc oxide.
To respond to the growth in demand, a new plant is inaugurated in Soledad, Atlántico, and a distribution and sales office is opened in Toberín, north of Bogotá.
The production of copper sulfate begins.
Emu Industries undertakes a research and development program focused on the production of phosphorus sources. The first export is made to Guatemala
The phosphorus initiative materialized, and the commercialization of manganese sulfate and magnesium oxide began.
The expansion of the production plant in Soledad, Atlántico is planned.
A new copper sulfate plant is built in Soledad, with the aim of supplying export markets in Central America and the growing demand in Colombia.
The SAP platform is acquired to integrate all processes, adopting the best practices of the system, and a new zinc oxides production line is built and launched.
The capacity of one of the drying towers is expanded by 50% to respond to market demands.
